    Jamestown Golf Course

    • First opened to the public in 1901, the Jamestown Golf Course is a nine-hole public course situated a few minutes away from the city of Newport. Hole #2, the longest hole on the course, features a sloping fairway as well as a large water hazard to avoid. Another notable part of this course is Hole #6, in which the putting green is surrounded by four large sand bunkers and a steep front slope leading up to the green. The clubhouse, situated near the first hole, contains a full bar and grill at which players can order a variety of sodas, hamburgers and hot dogs after working up an appetite playing a full round of golf.

    Rose Hill Golf Club

    • Featuring multiple bentgrass tee boxes for beginners, pros and ladies, the Rose Hill Golf Club in South Kingstown contains a nine-hole, par three golf course. This professionally designed public course includes various well-placed sand bunkers, which players need to avoid in order to achieve a good score while playing through. Live oak trees line the fairways. Plenty of water hazards are found on the course; the main water hazard is situated directly in the middle of the course. The clubhouse allows players to enjoy various snacks and beverages before or after playing, and golf apparel is available for purchase there.

    Exeter Country Club

    • The Exeter Country Club contains rolling fairways, manicured putting greens and plenty of different tee-off locations for both beginners and skilled players. The 18-hole championship public golf course is more than 6,920 yards in length and contains a large putting green practice area for players needing to improve their short game. Players are encouraged to practice playing out of sand bunkers by spending an hour or so playing out of the practice bunkers located near the course's clubhouse. The clubhouse features a restaurant and a full bar for all players to enjoy.
