How to Calculate SF
- 1). Measure the length of the object. For example, if you have a rectangle, measure the horizontal line from edge to edge. Let's say the result is 4 feet.
- 2). Measure the width of the object. To continue this example, measure the vertical line from edge to edge to get a result of, say, 2 feet.
- 3). Multiply the length and width. To conclude our example, 4 times 2 equals 8, so the SF for this rectangle is 8 square feet.
