I'm looking for information about smartcard in MHP 1.0.x, but all I find refers to OCF and SATSA that are implemented on MHP 1.1.1 and 1.1.2.
Is it possible to read and write a smartcard in MHP 1.0.x?
What API's do I have to use?
What hardware do I have to buy?

Some set-top boxes support the OCF API for smartcard acces.
We have an ADB Q75 Dev box with the OCF API... So this box could be working. But we experience problems with some smartcards.
In order to do the tests we used finally the Osmosys emulator with ocf support.
I don't know from other boxes to support the OCF API (i havn't really looked).
I think some boxes with satsa support will be made available by ADB (just guessing).
So maybe you can mail them? (www.adbglobal.com)
There is no standardised support for smart cards in MHP 1.0.x, so even though some boxes may support it it's not going to be generally interoperable. Some markets (e.g. Italy) did specify that smart card was necessary in addition to the basic MHP 1.0.x spec, and so boxes aimed at the Italian market will support SATSA.
