Web Start has bad performance

I have developed a simple swing application with EJB module. If each of these modules are deployed separately on SJSAS 9.01 server, they work fine but when deployed with EAR packaging, the client application fails to connect to the server. I have developed application on netbeans 5.5 (on WinXP) and all descriptor files are generated by netbeans, so far i have not made any modfication on these files. Can someone help me find the problem? I can think of two solutions:

1. Deploy them separately, but how to deploye Enterprise Rich Client on server. I have number of other jar files. How to package them all together (with jnlp) and deploy them on sjsas server? Unlike Standalone Swing client which has option of enabling Web Start and show JNLP file, enterprise swing client donot have such options.

2. The auto generated jnlp file by server for ear has some issues like bad network mapping. How do i troubleshoot this?

I'll appreciate anyone's help on this.
