Power Saving Features?

What are the extent of the power-saving features on an Ultra 80 workstation? I know it can shut down the drives at idle, but can it also adjust the internal fan speeds depending on system load? Can it adjust the CPU frequencies?

The reason I ask is because my U80 is extremely loud and generates an uncomfortable amount of heat. It increase the temperature in my room so much that I cannot leave it on all of the time, lest I have to run the air conditioner all the time.

I know these machines weren't meant for residential usage in a bedroom, but it just seems like it's running at "full power" all the time. The noise that the machine generates is the same whether the load average is 0.00 or at 100%.
