Drawing Toolbar Causes Constant Focus Change

I have several Windows XP SP2 workstations running StarOffice 8 Update 5 and Update 4 that show the drawing toolbar at the bottom of the screen and the focus constantly changes from the toolbar to the document. It makes it impossible to do anything but close the program. The
