blank mysql records

Hi,

I'm afraid I'm new to (S)AMP setup and configuration (but not new to Solaris on Intel,

which I've been running since 2.5). I believe I have everything configured, and it all

works fine on my desktop at home which is using blastwave versions of the relevant

(AMP) programs, but when I export & transfer the database (and relevant html & php

files) to my Solaris 11 (Nevada build 53) server, the submission of the php form

creates a record with all blank columns. Thinking it may have to do with permissions

for remote connectivity (everything at home was done from localhost), I took another

Solaris box at home and put the coolstack versions of Apache, PHP, and mysql(32),

with the same (blank records) result. It can hardly be a problem with the html page,

or php code (since they work fine on Solaris as long as I don't use CoolStack). It's

probably something simple (probably still a permissions issue, I imagine, but it

appears *not* to be about remote vs. local connectivity). Anybody have any quick

suggestions off the top of their head (without seeing any code, but like I said, I

doubt that that's too blame).

Thanks,

Mark

P.S. Thanks for SAMP, and especially thanks to the OpenSolaris team. The Linux

world has gotten so chaotic with dozens of semi-functional distros, and Solaris is

looking so polished and stable, I'm winning converts every day!
