Caching mechanism

Hi,

In WebSphere AS there is a dynamic caching mechanism available for caching data which is expensive to reload from backends.

Is there someting like this available in SJAS 8 (or 9). If yes, is there a possibility to replicate this data over a cluster? I do not mean SFSB or HTTP Session failover using HADB but a more generic chache which can be used transaparantly.
