is SCWCD worth taking?

i am an scjp5.0 and am planning to take scwcd exam

But my tutor advised me not to take scwcd and advised me 2 shift 2 Microsoft's . NET framework as he believed java will not have any major development in near future, and in future there will be a lot of demand for .NET. and marketplace for JAVA programmershas become saturated.

This comments by my mentor has put me in a dilemma on whether to take SCWCD or not.

my fellow java prigrammers, do u really believe so.

please help me.
