I am a JAVA programmer, i am planning for SCJP 1.5.0, i have considerable knowledge in java, but i do not know about how to prepare for this exam and which is the best study guide. please, any one kindly guide me how to prepare and what to prepare, and where can i get old model papers of SCJP.

I assume you know the difference between 1.4 and 1.5 .. With 1.5 here are new features added which hold its own importance in so called paper format. So for reference materials to this you should refer Sun's specification for 1.5 or possible upon doing a google search for release noted for 1.5 you should get enough info for 1.5... For scjp 1.4 Khalid Mugal is a good book . Get urself well acquainted with each and every page of this book [ meaning read in details and not literally each page :)].. So with Kmugal and te release notes for 1.5 u can easily clear 1.5 .... I managed a score of 91 with this strategy...

SCJP Sun Certified Programmer for Java 5 Study Guide (Exam 310-055)

This is written by one of the exam writers, and it contains sample exams. I am studying for the JSCP exam, and this book is very precise in its explanations of the exam objectives. Good luck!
