Cluster for IM

Hi folks,

Has anyone out there done cluster for IM store before? As I was reading the IM docs it said that it requires to have Instant Messaging shared components installed. So where can I find the packages name? I tried searching but not documented anywhere. Only indicates that the IM shared component is required but never say the package name.

Please advise. Thanks.

Hi,The shared components come as part of the overall JES install suite which also includes things like calendar/messaging/jmq etc. What installation suite are you using?Regards,Shane.

Hi,

If you run the JES installer again, you will see the various items that are already installed during the component selection stage - they will be greyed out so you can't select them. Usually at the bottom is the shared components bits, which are selected and installed by default (since they are pre-requisites).

You may also see the other cluster components from memory.. have a look around, since you aren't actually installing anything at this point it should be ok.

Cheers,

shane.

SUNWiimsc is the sun_cluster_agent package you need to install to work IM with Sun Cluster. I think this is missing in your installation.
