Firefox installation Error

Hi,

I am trying to install Firefox 1.0.6 for Solaris 9 and i got the executables for it.

When i try to run ./firefox, i get the following error :

ld.so.1 ./firefox-bin: fatal: libm.so.2:open failed : no such file or directory

and also libpangoxft-1.0.so.0

./firefox relocation error: reference symbol not found

What should i do for it?

Regards,

Did you find anything to resolve this problem.I need the same library as you to compile espghostscript.I think this library is only for Solaris 10? The name of the package is SUNWlibmsrCould we use it for Solaris 9 too? Thanks.

My understanding is that libm.so is available in Solaris 10 only. Have you downloaded firefox for correct platform? You might want to try firefox-1.5.en-US.solaris2.8-sparc-gtk1.tar.bz2 from http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/1.5/contrib/solaris_tar _ball/
