Not able to connect to Solaris SNMP using ServerStats (Empirix Tool)
We are having a SunSparc Solaris 2.8 machine.
We have installed the Empirix tool, e-Tester Version 6.03.0384 on a Window2000 machine. This tool has a component ServerStats in which there is an option of connecting to Solaris SNMP. We are not able to use this option and connect to our Solaris machine (192.168.1.5). The port 161 is open on the Solaris machine and SNMP agent is running. But we are getting an error "can't query 192.168.1.5's snmp server" when we try to connect from ServerStats. (the Empirix tool)
The snmp and mibiisa daemon can be seen in the process list and we get responses through command line snmpget also.
We have also tried after reinstalling the snmp package on the solaris server and we also tried reinstalling the e-test suite. Still we are not successful.
