Mail Merge Email configuration
Hi there,
I'm trying to configure the mail megre email client (SO8 on Win2k prof.) but I'm constantly receiving the following error message when testing the settings: "Establish network connection failed; find outgoing mailserver failed". The setting under "internet->proxy" is set to "System" an no proxy is used. Other network connection (Internet and Email) works perfectly fine. The server settings under "StarOffice Writer-> Mail Merge Email" are exactly as in Thunderbird (no spelling errors, correct port-numbers), but it seems to me, the problem is not the server settings but, prior to that, the connection to the internet. I use a router to log into the internet but the network configuration is, as I said, OK for all other programs. Is there anything else I need to configure in SO8? Are any special Windows Services needed for SO8 to connect to the internet to send Mail Merge Emails?
Any suggestions are highly welcome.
