Uninstall Staroffice 7
Hi,
I accidentally installed staroffice 7 and now I can't get it off my PC (XP) If I go to the add/remove section in the control panel all I can do is highlight the program, but I cannot remove it. Any advice you could give would be gratefully received.
Thank you,

If you did a network install, first find the "setup.exe" program inside
each user's profile....and then run the setup program and choose the
uninstall option. After doing that, find the "setup" program inside the programs folder and run that (from the command line is best) and choose the uninstall option...also removing all files. After the uninstal routine, you can find any left-over folders in the user's profiles and the programs files area and delete them. Also, you might consider removing the "sversions" file in the users area too (this would be a hidden file)....after that, if you have a registry cleaning program, run that to clean out any left-over registry entries, or look through the registry manually in "software" for the "local machine" and "users" and delete any keys left over (if you feel confident in doing it this way).
If the entry is still in your add/remove programs list, it's a registry in the local machine/Windows in a sub-key somewhere (I can't remember) where all of the add/remove references are and you can just delete the entry and it will disappear from the list. Sorry, I can't remember all of the exact keys now becuase I'm on my Linux machine....but you can do a search in the registry for all of the keys to delete (for a nice complete job)
That should do it.
