Hi, I have used Chilli ASP version 4.0 to run my asp pages. Due to some reasons, Chilli ASP goes in to a dead lock mode resulting my web application to hang, I am compeled to restart my web server, for the application to run again.
I wish to know the real cause of this, my application runs fine on MS IIS.
Its impossible to tell you from what you have posted. My guess is bad coding which happens to work on IIS perhaps because if 'fixes' the problem for you or is more tolerant of what you are doing. It may not even be an asp issue but an underlying database issue.
You will have to investigate where the dead lock is happening and then perhaps someone on the forum can help resolve the issue.
Like any bug you need to try and reproduce the problem, diagnose the problem and then hopefully fix it.
Never had any issues with Chilli Asp myself had lots of issues with IIS asp when I used it.
Are you on the latest version of Sun One Asp? If not I would upgrade first.
