XMPP client support

Has anyone had success with getting a jabber/xmpp client to work with IMS? I tried gaim 1.3 and set the protocol to jabber and the server and port to the xmpp multiplexor server and port (45222) and I get an xml parse error on the client side and the following is in the xmpp.log:

If you are using the default installation then the client should connect to port 5222. Port 45222 is used by multiplexor to connect to server.Rahul
