Server Not Responding
I am not able to login into SunONE Instant Messaging Server, giving an error "Server Not Responding"
Below are my machine details and procedure followed to installed SunONE Instant Messaging Server 6.1
Pentium III, 512 MB RAM, Windows2K Server professional with Service Pack 3.0,
Domain name : sky-gallaxy.com
Computer name : saturn
1) Installed SunONE Directory Server 5.1(LDAP)
2) Created few users (eg:sunil)
3) Installed SunONE WebServer (successfully configured with LDAP)
4) Installed JRE1.4.2 (which includes Java WebStart)
5) Enabled Java WebStart with SunONE WebServer (jnlp file configuration) - According to the Installation Guide.
8) Installed SunONE Instant Messaging Server 6.1 (Install Path : C:\Program files\Sun\Instant Messaging)
Both components are installed on same PC
a) Instance Messaging Server (Server & Multiplexor)
b) SunOne Instance Messenger Resources (Include files to launch Instant Messenger Client)
c) Installed IM resources files in Webserver (C:\IplanetWeb\Server\Docs )
c) Port Configuration (By Default)
i) Messaging Server Port : 49999
ii) Multiplexor Port : 49909
iii) LDAP Port : 389 (SATURN.sky-gallaxy.com)
iv) Host Name : SATURN
v) DSN Domain Name : SATURN.sky-gallaxy.com
vi) Codebase Path (http://Saturn.sky-gallaxy.com:80 )
9) Installation of SunONE Messenging Server Completed.
10) On the same machine tried open the page http://SATURN.sky-gallaxy.com to login
11) The page displays two option to login
a) Java PlugIns
b) Java Web Start
12) In both the options i am able to get the login Window
User Name : sunil
Password : *****
Server : SATURN.sky-gallaxy.com:49909
Tried Changing Servers as -
SATURN.sky-gallaxy.com:49909
SATURN.sky-gallaxy.com:49999
SATURN:49909
SATURN:49999
ip:49909
ip:49999
In all the case it gives an error "Sever Not Responding"
KeyNote: After the first attempt of loging, the multiplexor services stops.
13) Server.log files says
[23/Dec/2003:19:33:56 +0530] NOTICE: New Multiplexor Connection started from /192.168.1.51
[23/Dec/2003:19:34:26 +0530] ERROR: MultiplexManager#23255990 read error java.io.EOFException
Please advice, if i am missing an step of installation or any patch to be install or any software to be installed prior.
This error is just bugging me, i dont have any clue to resolved this problem..
